This trip involves an 11-day trek at high altitude (up to and above 5000 metres) – precautions and acclimatisation are undertaken, but be aware of the effects altitude can have. An excellent level of fitness is required on this trip, with treks of up to 9 hours a day at high altitude. See our guide to trekking in the region here to help decide if this trip is what you are looking for in a holiday: https://www.tuuur.com/adventures/annapurna-circuit-hiking-guide https://www.tuuur.com/adventures/annapurna-circuit-hiking-guide (https://www.tuuur.com/adventures/annapurna-circuit-hiking-guide)

With climate change the weather on the Annapurna Circuit is becoming less predictable, and high risk weather conditions can cause significant damage to the trail even outside of rainy season, and during the winter months the Thorong La Pass can be closed due to heavy snowfall. Should this occur, alternative arrangements will be made by your group leader, and you might switch to the Annapurna Base Camp itinerary instead. 4. There are dirt roads stretching from Besisahar until Manang. Travellers may need to walk on the road in most of the trekking sections at the beginning. We try to use the alternate walking track to avoid the road as much as possible. The jeep ride from Kagbeni to Kalopani on Day 12 is also on a dirt road and can be bumpy.

5. This trip ends in Pokhara. Tuuur offers a pre-arranged transfer and flight service option back to Kathmandu airport. Enquire with your agent at least 30 days prior to your trip departure.
verified
6. You must bring an emergency fund of USD 500 in cash with you on this trip, which you may need to use in case of delayed or cancelled flights. This is especially important should you choose to opt to take a helicopter as this will be at the travellers expense.
verified
7. As this trip ends in Pokhara, if you wish to transfer your stored luggage from Kathmandu to Pokhara, we can arrange this by a private vehicle. Additional cost is 110 USD. This cost is divided among the interested participants.
verified
8. Please be aware that in the event of an emergency evacuation, Tuuur does not have control over which helicopter service may be used. Some helicopters are not in regular use with Tuuur and have not passed our internal safety auditing.
verified
9. Your health and safety are our priority. Your leader may delay or stop your ascent based on your medical conditions and AMS symptoms. Please ensure your insurance includes coverage for activities up to 5500m, mountain rescue, and helicopter evacuation costs. Without adequate insurance cover, helicopter evacuation requires upfront payment.

I had an incredible time trekking the Annapurna Circuit. It was an active and challenging at times, but also hugely enjoyable and rewarding.
Our tour leader, Hem Raj, was fantastic, very knowledgeable, and always looking out for everyone. He made sure we could all manage the tougher days and altitude really well and shared lots about local culture and life in the mountains, which added so much to the experience.
Our assistant guides, Subash and Phurba, were brilliant too — supportive, encouraging and full of fun making the days go by so quickly.
Huge thanks as well to the porters, whose hard work made the trek possible.
I couldn’t recommend this trek or this team more highly.

This was the most amazing experience of my life. Whilst it was one of the most mentally and physically challenging things I have ever done, it has inspired me to do more trekking and mountaineering trips. Niroj, Sushil, Sonya, Sangita and the Porter team were amazing. I felt safe, supported and welcome the entire time! I hope to meet them again on my next trek!

This trip has been a wonderful experience, it would not have been as amazing without our guides consistent enthusiasm and cheerfulness. The views are stunning and out of the world and the experience of Nepal through this hike has been incredible.

This trip was fanatic. I went into this with little to no real hiking experience and the guides and crew made it feel so manageable, safe and fun the whole way.

Absolutely phenomenal. Leaders and guides were absolutely amazing and so well organised. A seriously incredible trip that I would do again without thinking twice. Highly highly recommend intrepid to anyone considering. Made things so smooth and easy for us and we learnt so much about Nepalese culture along the way.
