Trip Informations
Spend seven days sailing from one island to the next through the glistening Mediterranean Sea. On board a yacht, this adventure takes you along the beautiful Amalfi Coast to beaches, ancient ruins and past small villages. Discover the ruins of Pompeii, sip Limoncello from locally harvested orchards and indulge in fresh seafood at restaurants with waterfront views. Pass the Sirenusas (Gallos) archipelago as you travel east of the Sorrentine Peninsula, visit the caves of Capri’s Grotta Azzura (the Blue Grotto) and learn about the region’s history from a knowledgeable local skipper. Paradise is calling!
Why you’ll love this trip
Explore Pompeii at your own pace. Maybe wander through the Pompeii ruins or take a peek inside the steaming crater of Mt Vesuvius – the volcano that once destroyed this Roman city.
Journey through the countryside and along the Amalfi Coast. Pass medieval architecture, glittering waters, vineyards and olive groves.
Discover the caves of Capri’s Grotta Azzura (the Blue Grotto) and swim in the glittering waters of the Mediterranean. Then, spend every night falling asleep to the gentle rock of waves on board your group’s yacht.
Indulge in local delicacies in Ischia, including fresh honey, olives, rabbit stew, snails and sea urchins, not to mention local wine and a glass of Limoncello!
Learn about the region’s history from your knowledgeable local skipper and enjoy plenty of free time to explore at your own pace.
Is this trip right for you?
As most of this trip takes place on a sailing boat, you’ll need to feel comfortable with moving about the vessel, including using stairs. If you’re prone to seasickness, it is advised that you bring some tablets from home.
Our yachts have a small Zodiac on board, which is used to transport travellers to shore if we need to anchor in the bay. However, we will most often overnight in the small marinas on each island we visit, so the Zodiacs aren’t used. Zodiacs can sometimes be awkward to climb in and out of, but a sense of humour and a can-do attitude are all you need.
This is an adventure on board a real yacht, which means living spaces, cabins, bathrooms and showers need to be shared with other passengers. Sleeping quarters can be relatively compact, but you will spend most of your time above board in the open air.
If you’re travelling with your own group of friends or family and would like to book a private departure on this sailing trip, our Tailor-Made team will be happy to help: https://www.tuuur.com/tailor-made https://www.tuuur.com/tailor-made (https://www.tuuur.com/tailor-made)

Important notes
START TIME:
The trip starts on Day 1 in Naples at 12.30pm and finishes on day 7 on Procida Island.
ACCOMMODATION ONBOARD THIS SAILING YACHT
This trip is accommodated entirely on board a yacht of between 48ft to 52ft. The yacht sleeps 8 travellers in the following cabin types:
2 x double bed cabins
2 x twin/double cabins (these cabins will have 2 separate single mattresses that can be booked as either twin share or double share)
There are 3 bathrooms with hot showers and a fully equipped kitchen. Everyone including the skipper shares the bathrooms onboard. Our boats are real yachts, and this is a real sailing trip. Yachts are designed to keep sleeping areas to the absolute minimum of space, while maximising common areas as much as possible.
Solo travellers can be matched up in twin share cabins with another traveller of the same gender. Or they can pay a single supplement to get a cabin to themselves.
Double bed cabins are only available for couples or friends travelling together who are happy to share a double bed. Or a solo traveller who pays for a single supplement.
While not everyone may feel entirely comfortable living in such close quarters, those who are looking to revel in the adventure and exhilaration of an authentic sailing trip usually find any discomfort from cramped living conditions is more than made up for by the whole experience.
PASSPORT DETAILS:
Please provide full passport details at time of booking including exact name as per passport, date of birth, nationality, issue and expiry dates as these are essential for booking services on this trip.
TRIP KITTY:
On this trip it's compulsory to contribute to a kitty of EUR90 per person. The kitty is an on-ground payment put into a central fund managed by travellers. It helps fund for breakfast and lunch on the boat and other small items such as ice, water, snacks and drinks. Travellers are responsible for the preparation of these meals onboard and to shop at port where supermarkets are often very close to the mooring. Kitty amounts are subject to change to reflect local price increases. On day 1, the skipper will talk through the kitty and how it will be managed (by yourself or fellow travellers) The kitty will be collected when you arrive at the welcome meeting or in stages throughout your trip.

This was one of the better trips I've done with Intrepid we were lucky enough to only have four people on board instead of the 8th. With eight people this might have been a little bit of a crowded trip I would recommend that there only be six people allowed on the boat. You need to like the water and Tight quarters

Highly recommend, the trip visits all key points on interest. Seeing the Amalfi coast from the water is a fantastic way to experience the region, and sailing between locations is a fun and relaxing way to travel. Our skipper, Alex, was passionate about the area and more importantly the food, and his enthusiasm enhanced the experience. One of the best group tours I’ve done!

This was the best holiday! Sailing was the perfect way to see so many beautiful places in just a week. We swam in stunning bays near famous Amalfi Coast landmarks and enjoyed a variety of destinations every day. I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable sleeping on the boat was. Our skipper, Domenico, was great! He navigated us safely and offered excellent advice and recommendations for local attractions. I couldn’t recommend this trip more highly!

A unique way to see the Amalfi Coast with ecotourism in mind. Best some crowds while also seeing major spots. Experience local cuisine and culture. Glancing type accommodations. Recommend!
