Is this trip right for you?
verified
As most of this trip takes place on a sailing boat, you’ll need to feel comfortable with moving about the vessel, including using stairs. If you’re prone to seasickness, it is advised that you bring some tablets from home.
verified
Our yachts have a small Zodiac on board, which is used to transport travellers to shore if we need to anchor in the bay. However, we will most often overnight in the small marinas on each island we visit, so the Zodiacs aren’t used. Zodiacs can sometimes be awkward to climb in and out of, but a sense of humour and a can-do attitude are all you need.
verified
This is an adventure on board a real yacht, which means living spaces, cabins, bathrooms and showers need to be shared with other passengers. Sleeping quarters can be relatively compact, but you will spend most of your time above board in the open air.

ACCOMMODATION ONBOARD THIS SAILING YACHT
verified
This trip is accommodated entirely on board a yacht of between 48ft to 52ft. A typical yacht for 8 travellers is equipped with 4 double share cabins, 2/3 shared bathrooms and 2 showers. Our boats are real yachts and this is a real sailing trip. Yachts are designed to keep sleeping areas to the absolute minimum of space, while maximising common areas as much as possible.
verified
Rooms are allocated on arrival by our skipper according to group composition, which means it is not possible to reserve or guarantee any specific berth or cabin. Single passengers will be paired up with another passenger of the same gender, this will mean sharing a double cabin with a double mattress. Everyone including the skipper shares the bathrooms on board.
verified
While not everyone may feel entirely comfortable living in such close quarters, those who are looking to revel in the adventure and exhilaration of an authentic sailing trip usually find any discomfort from cramped living conditions is more than made up for by the whole experience.

On this trip it's compulsory to contribute to a kitty of EUR90 per person. The kitty is an on-ground payment put into a central fund managed by travellers. It helps fund for breakfast and lunch on the boat and other small items such as ice, water, snacks and drinks. Travellers are responsible for the preparation of these meals onboard and to shop at port where supermarkets are often very close to the mooring. Kitty amounts are subject to change to reflect local price increases. On day 1, the skipper will talk through the kitty and how it will be managed (by yourself or fellow travellers) The kitty will be collected when you arrive at the welcome meeting or in stages throughout your trip.

A unique way to see the Amalfi Coast with ecotourism in mind. Best some crowds while also seeing major spots. Experience local cuisine and culture. Glancing type accommodations. Recommend!

The best view of the Amalfi coast is by boat and that is what this trip provides. Sail italy is the best way to get a taste of Italy and relax while doing so. The skipper was highly knowledgeable and made us feel safe while sailing.

Our sailing adventure along the Amalfi Coast was, truly, AMAZING! Our captain (Alex) led the six of us on an unforgettable eight days of active sailing, exploration, culture, history, and just plain fun. It was the perfect break from our daily lives and work schedules (and pressures), showing us a glimpse of a very different way of life. We participated (willingly!) in the food shopping, preparation and clean-up, and as operational crewmates (in a safe, limited capacity) at the direction of our very knowledgeable, funny, and caring Captain Alex! Not only did he provide us with the expected information, expertise and support in leading our excursion, but was an ongoing font of cultural and historic knowledge at every turn. He provided a wonderful balance of fun, learning, and culinary experience at a level we did not expect. I will recommend this trip, and this Captain, to every single one of my friends and family who are inclined to take a very unique and relaxing vacation in a beautiful setting, in a marvelous and exhilarating way. We will never forget this lovely getaway!

This was a life-changing experience for me. It was my first time in Italy and my first time on a sailboat. I came into this trip with some anxiety about the voyage and comfort, and it was gone within the first day. Our skipper, Alex, was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable about the history of he sites we saw. I felt grateful for the home-cooked meals he provided for us using locally bought produce.

Sailing the Amalfi Coast with Intrepid was an unforgettable experience - cruising past stunning vistas, diving into aqua waters, visiting hidden grottos, and sampling incredible local food. Island hopping by yacht, with a fantastic skipper at the helm, was the ultimate way to explore this dreamy part of Italy.

Great trip for seeing much of the Amalfi Coast without being around a mob of people! Our skipper Paolo was great and we felt like family as he helped prepare delicious lunches for us each day as we sailed. Sailing the coast was beautiful, but be prepared for a very boat-camping experience. Close quarters, minimal storage, A/C only on occasion, basic bathroom facilities. Still - wine and food were amazing!

Great 1 week tour of the Amalfi coast. The sailing boat was such a good way to see many destinations and a different way to tour. Highly recommend!
