Trip Informations
Get ready for some active adventuring on a seven-day trip that’s big on natural beauty! Hike, bike and kayak around some of Alaska’s best scenic spots and make the most of countless photo ops. Visit Denali National Park – home to some of Alaska’s best and most scenic walking trails, paddle the pristine waters of Resurrection Bay, take a guided hike on top of the Matanuska Glacier, cycle the scenic Tony Knowles Coastal Trail and visit one of the oldest and most picturesque towns in the state (which is also the gateway to Kenai Fjords National Park). With an expert local leader to guide your way and a small group of likeminded active adventurers, you’ve got the perfect week!
Why you’ll love this trip
Kayak the calm waters of Resurrection Bay among the mountain vistas and look out for sea otters, seals, bald eagles, porpoises and leaping salmon. Then, head out on a beach walk and rainforest hike, stopping by a waterfall.
Walk atop the ice of the largest car-accessible glacier in Alaska – the Matanuska – on an educational tour led by a local Alaskan guide and glacier expert (with all technical gear provided).
Cycle the paved Tony Knowles Coastal Trail like the locals do as it hugs the shore of Cook Inlet and travels through coastal marshes over forested hills. Soak in the amazing views of Mount Susitna as you go.
Visit Denali National Park – home to the tallest peak in North America (Denali) – and witness the gorgeous scenery of this Alaskan hotspot.
Hike the spectacular Triple Lakes Trail, Denali National Park’s longest trail, which has great views of Riley Creek, towering mountains and the three Triple Lakes.
Is this trip right for you?
There are hikes on this trip, so a reasonable level of fitness is required to enjoy all activities to the fullest. It’s also essential that you’re both confident and competent in riding a bicycle.
Alaska is a big state, so be prepared for some long drives. That said, it means you’ll get the chance to pass through some of the incredible scenery that Alaska has to offer.

I absolutely loved this trip and felt it was exceptional value for money. The itinerary was fantastic, but what truly made it special was our guide. She was passionate, enthusiastic, compassionate, and genuinely caring, always going above and beyond for the group. I would highly recommend this trip and would happily travel with them again.

Alaska is just a stunningly beautiful state which was made even better by our trip leader Sheila. Everything was perfect except the fact that it ended.

You need to get yourself to Alaska! I wanted an active trip to enjoy all the outdoor opportunities it offered. An itinerary that included hiking, biking and kayaking was perfect. Our leader Casey did a good job keeping things moving along smoothly and was attentive and checked in with people's needs. We had people on the tour with diverse backgrounds and felt everyone was celebrated. We saw Denali unobstructed by clouds---twice! This tour was a dream come true and highly recommend it.

This was our first visit to Alaska, and we enjoyed it immensely! Our guide Casey was excellent and made the trip most enjoyable along with the other group members. Definitely an active trip, which we loved. It seemed like we did so much and covered a lot of ground in one week. Alaska is a beautiful place we hope to return to and explore more someday.

It was a great trip. We did lots of different things - many of which you do not see if you just do a “cruise”. Our leader Brad was so informative and friendly and good fun. Even though the group was very mixed we all got along so well and enjoyed each others company. We had a great time, lots of laughs and we all saw and learnt a lot about this amazing country - Alaska
