Why you’ll love this trip
Kayak the calm waters of Resurrection Bay among the mountain vistas and look out for sea otters, seals, bald eagles, porpoises and leaping salmon. Then, head out on a beach walk and rainforest hike, stopping by a waterfall.
Walk atop the ice of the largest car-accessible glacier in Alaska – the Matanuska – on an educational tour led by a local Alaskan guide and glacier expert (with all technical gear provided).
Cycle the paved Tony Knowles Coastal Trail like the locals do as it hugs the shore of Cook Inlet and travels through coastal marshes over forested hills. Soak in the amazing views of Mount Susitna as you go.
Visit Denali National Park – home to the tallest peak in North America (Denali) – and witness the gorgeous scenery of this Alaskan hotspot.
Hike the spectacular Triple Lakes Trail, Denali National Park’s longest trail, which has great views of Riley Creek, towering mountains and the three Triple Lakes.

It was a great trip. We did lots of different things - many of which you do not see if you just do a “cruise”. Our leader Brad was so informative and friendly and good fun. Even though the group was very mixed we all got along so well and enjoyed each others company. We had a great time, lots of laughs and we all saw and learnt a lot about this amazing country - Alaska

This trip was a great way to experience Alaska for the first time. Travel planning can be very stressful, and Intrepid made it so easy. It was a magical experience for our family. The group was fun and everyone clicked. Our guide, Bradley, was delightful. Highly recommend!

This is my second, "Intrepid" adventure and hopefully not my last. At 80 time is running short. The Alaskan adventure exceeded all our expectations, both with the team leader,Brad, and our group. The Intrepid organisation should be congratulated for organising and promoting this type of travel. Don't let age be a barrier, at 76 and 80 yrs, old, we've proved that. JUST DO IT! Sue and Wally

Bradley, our trip lead, made the trip an unforgettable experience. We had an awesome time hiking to beautiful view points and kayaking with sea otters and seals right next to us!

What an amazing trip! Alaska itself is phenomenal and Intrepid's trip showcased the best of the Anchorage/Denali/Seward region. The biking, kayaking, hiking were so much fun! Our guide, Wes, provided a great experience, adding much extra information about the region. I highly recommend this trip for anyone who is somewhat fit and wanting to explore Alaska.

The best trip! A nice small group where you could really bond with everyone and the itinerary was followed to a T. Wes was an amazing tour guide; he was very friendly and knowledgeable and always prioritized our safety above anything else. Future trips will definitely have a great experience if Wes is leading the charge.

I had always wanted to visit Alaska and really get out in the wilderness, something I wasn't comfortable doing on my own. This trip exceeded my expectations for how much we packed into a week and how much I learned about the region through our knowledge guide Wes. I felt safe and included by the group at all times. Truly a trip of a lifetime!!
