Is this trip right for you?
This is an overland trip. That means you’ll be travelling with a group in a purpose-built vehicle, visiting remote communities, setting up your own tent, occasionally roughing it in the bush with no facilities, and getting the best possible views of Africa's iconic wildlife. While the trucks don’t have air conditioning, they do have sliding windows, which let in the breeze and make it even easier to take spectacular snaps of the local wildlife. The drive days can be long, but it’s as much about the journey as the destination, and half the fun is the camaraderie. The African wild comes alive at sunrise, so there will be some early starts for game drives. The thrill of spotting your first lion or rhino is well worth the early start!

This trip is unforgettable, be sure to do full circuit and prioritise the Okavango Delta flight over Victoria Falls. Don't hold back.

An incredible trip! So many opportunities for animal sightings, but as other reviews also mention, prepare for some long travel days (on bumpy roads) and very early mornings but it's all worth it though. Khensani, Indi, and Ora were a great team and made a really welcoming environment for everyone.

A true expedition through Southern Africa! Tiring early mornings and long bus rides, but absolutely worth it. The Intrepid team: guide Khen, driver Bongani and cook Amo made everything incredible. Breathtaking places, unforgettable wildlife encounters and an amazing group of travellers. An experience I will cherish forever.

Definitely an excellent trip with back-to-back activities. The dynamics in the group and with the crew were amazing! There are a lot of early mornings and very long bus drives due to long distances and partially bad road conditions. The camping facilities were actually better than described. There were warm showers and facilities on every campsite. Even Wifi was available almost everywhere. Phones and power banks can be charged during the drives in the truck. The provided food was amazing. This trip was covering many national parks and each of them had its own beauty in nature and wildlife. Kruger as the last stop was the grande finale that tops everything one last time. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing trip. Incredible wildlife, various landscapes and cultural insights. Highlights apart from the game drives obviously were the social nights at the campfire under the stunning sky full of stars. Be prepared for many early mornings and bumpy bus rides (especially in Zimbabwe) but the experience is definitely worth it!
