Is this trip right for you?
verified
This trip involves lots of active adventure, and we ask that you read through the itinerary carefully to ensure that it is right for you. You’ll need to feel comfortable with the included activities and with moving about the boat. The cabins and communal areas of the boat are spread over three decks, and the steps between the decks are steep.
verified
A Zodiac boat (panga) is sometimes necessary to reach small islets, coves, and prime snorkelling spots. You must be comfortable climbing in and out of one during wet and dry landings.
verified
The waters of the Galapagos are generally calm and serene. However, there is always the possibility of choppy water at sea. Steady sea legs (and a sturdy stomach) will be needed when walking around the boat during bad weather. Rain or shine, your trusty crew will always be on hand to assist you.
verified
Please note that while there is an itinerary in place, some changes may occur due to the weather or because of directions from the local authorities. This can happen with little notice, so please be prepared for potential modifications to the route or activities. A sense of humour and flexibility will ensure you have a fun, relaxing trip through this beautiful part of the world, no matter what happens.

Excellent trip. The boat was lovely, well-maintained and comfortable. The crew members were great. The food was really good and well-varied. The Galapagos Islands are beautiful and I am glad to have visited. We saw a lot and yet there is so much we did not see. I would love to go back sometime and see the islands that were not on this itinerary. This was my third Intrepid trip and, while they have been very different from each other, they have all been great and very much met expectations. We had two different naturalists during the course of the 7 night cruise and, while very different in style, both were well-informed and provided excellent educational information. Great trip all around and magical destination.

This trip gave us everything we wanted in the Galapagos - so many excursions to see wildlife, funny and knowledgeable guide in Roberto, and the ship/food was incredible. Snorkeling and island walks were loaded with animal sightings. All the islands were unique; especially loved Sombrero Chino and Isla Floreana. 10 days (plus a few extra in Quito) felt like the perfect amount of time to see many places, but still left us wanting to go back to see the rest of the islands.
