Soak up the calm beach vibes with two relaxing days on Manukan Island where you’ll get up close to diverse marine life on a snorkelling trip.
Search for pygmy elephants and proboscis monkeys as you cruise the Kinabatangan River on a water safari.
Savour local cuisine, like roti canai and teh tarik, during food tastings on a heritage walk in Sandakan.
Is this trip right for you?
As you travel across Borneo, you’ll stay in a variety of accommodation, from standard hotels to jungle lodges. Some accommodation may have less amenities than a standard hotel, but the unique locations and proximity to nature makes them worth it.
This trip doesn't include climbing Mt Kinabalu. If this is something that interests you, check out our Sabah Adventure (TMSC).
This trip includes time spent travelling in a private vehicle with your group, where space may be limited and conditions may feel a bit snug. It's all part of the adventure and a great way to get to know your fellow travellers. There are a few long days of travel as you'll be covering a lot of ground. You will, however, make stops at interesting locations to break up the longer drives. Please read the Itinerary carefully for travel time estimates.

Booked the comfortable version and it was a fantastic trip! Went end of November so in monsoon season. It rained a bit but still was able to do all the excursions. Key highlight is the river trips in the jungle (saw orangutan, hornbills and prosbosis monkeys) and Manuken Island. Aldrin is a fantastic tour guide. Accommodation was clean and comfortable.

The tour is an excellent, varied introduction to Borneo. There are lots of opportunities to see wildlife, including the excellent river cruises and orangutan centre. The optional night cruise is worth taking. Borneo is beautiful and there is also a lot of interesting World War 2 history. Our guide, Joh, was highly knowledgeable and organised and took great care of the group. The accommodation was of a high standard throughout. I would highly recommend this tour.

Fantastic trip. Great leadership from Awang. An excellent balance of wildlife watching and cultural experiences. The opportunity to see orangutans and sun bears in Sepilok being rehabilitated for release back to the rainforest was inspiring. Being immersed in the rainforest canopy on the tree top walkway was a brilliant experience.

What a fantastic trip across Saba in Borneo, we were fortunate to have Phillis as our tour guide. She was very informative & fun to be around. We were very lucky to see a wild Orangutan on one of our boat trips as well as Hundreds of monkeys and a huge Crocodile. The food throughout the tour far outweighed expectations it was Brilliant so much choice wherever we stayed. Also loved the stay on Manukan island a true paradise. Highly recommended this Tour..:))
